I really like the packaging =] I will definitely be saving them.
The palettes themselves are nice too.
The mirror is a nice touch.

It was kind of difficult to get the colors and shimmer to show properly with my camera and in the lighting at the time, but they are very beautiful colors. I was actually pretty amused when I was applying them to my arm lol. I love looking at them. I love that some of the colors are more subtle. Antique pewter looks like it would be a bold purplish color in the kit, but on your skin it is a light beauty and has more of a brown tint to it. Just perfect for me, since I have always wanted a color like that. Silver Slippers is stunning as well, and I imagine there are a lot of possibilities with that color. Cashmere cream and petticoat pink are lighter shades, and I think they will be great when I just want a neutral, more natural look. Twilight ash and Red wine are definitely the wow colors of the kits. I think each kit has one color that really makes a statement. These are the colors that probably work best in your crease, to give that sultry smokey effect to your eyes.
The blushes are pretty, but I think berry cream might have too much "red" pigment in it for me. A lot of times my cheeks are already red on their own, so applying more reddish color on top of them makes me look really sun burnt. Of course, I can control the amount I put on, so it doesn't necessarily have to be very much. Peach glow looks like it might suit me better, but I have not tried it yet. Lauren, can you make a blush that would be good for people who tend to get red cheeks? Maybe a color that can sort of act as a concealer, but is also pretty like a blush. The eye liner is a nice product, but I have trouble getting eye liner to look right. To be fair, I think it was the brush I was using that was faulty. Maybe I'll see if I have a better brush and see how that goes.
I like the kits, and I am pleased overall. There are 3 other kits available with different colors (My Fierce Violets, My Sultry Blues, and My Luscious Greens...although I think My Fierce Violets is sold out). Each kit comes with 2 shadow primers, 3 eye shadows, 1 blush, 2 lip colors, and 1 cream eye liner. I absolutely love that Lauren hand picked everything in each kit, so that the colors would look well together. It makes it a lot easier for beginners like me, and especially since almost everything I need is in there (aside from mascara and brushes, but I have my own...and foundation, but I don't really use foundation anyway). Thank goodness for your videos too, Lauren. I watched the My Vintage glam one for inspiration before I tried it myself.
Great job Lauren! If you come out with singles, I might purchase a few more things. I don't think I will be buying the other kits, although I would love to have them. I just think two is enough variety for now, and if I get the other kits I will have more primer, eye liner, blush, and lip color than I know what to do with. For those things, all I need is to find one or two colors I really like, because I don't wear them very often. If you do come out with more color singles, particularly eye shadows, then I'll probably get a few.
If you don't know who Lauren is, well I just love her story. She started out selling make up brushes on Ebay, and to inspire her customers she included pictures of her make up. Then, people started asking her how she did it, so she figured a video showing how would be much easier than trying to explain it. She uploaded a video tutorial on YouTube as panacea81, and it took off from there. I am sure she never expected to get so much response!

hey can you tell me the brand name of your make up brushes kit? I really like your kit...it seems so complete!
